As a biennial international conference hosted by the Chinese government, China Quality Conference is committed to sharing the new trends and concepts of international quality developments and practices of quality management, fostering closer international cooperation on quality undertaking to jointly promote quality reform and innovation, enhancing the connectivity of quality infrastructures, thus boosting global economic development and shaping a better future for all humanity.

Since 2014, the Conference has been successfully held for four sessions in Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen and Hangzhou, respectively. President Xi Jinping has sent congratulatory letters to the 2nd and 4th Conference in person, and Li Keqiang, then Premier of the State Council, attended and addressed the 1st Conference. Participants include government leaders, heads of international organizations, diplomatic envoys, heads of quality-related departments of the governments, as well as quality management personnel, experts and scholars, and well-known entrepreneurs. Over the past four sessions, the Conference has been increasingly improved to have a better organizational structure, more foresighted, rich and pragmatic substances and a wider international influence, thus making it an epochal and efficient platform for global quality exchanges.

The 5th China Quality Conference, i.e., China Quality (Chengdu) Conference, will be held in Chengdu, the capital city of Sichuan Province, from September 1-3, 2023. Chinese government leaders will attend the Conference and deliver speeches. Under the theme of "Quality Evolution and Cooperation in Economic Recovery", the Conference will be co-sponsored by the State Administration for Market Regulation, National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the People's Government of Sichuan Province, and the People's Government of Chengdu Municipality, etc. The conference is composed of an opening ceremony and the plenary forum, eight parallel forums, a matchmaking meeting between national standard, metrology and quality technical bodies and Sichuan-based enterprises, a closing ceremony, and an Exhibition on China Quality Management and Quality Innovation Achievements named the Light of Quality. It will take place mainly with physical presence by the participants. In addition, eight parallel forums will cover a wide range of topics such as Carrying Out Quality Improvement and Building Top Class Enterprises; Quality-Effective Growth of Private Enterprises & 2023 Private Economy Standard Innovation Week Sichuan Special Event; Deepening International Quality Cooperation in Stabilizing Global Supply Chain; Standardization Work of Park Cities—Practice and Exploration in China’s City Modernization; Improving Quality Infrastructure and Enabling Stable Economic Recovery; Good Practices of Enterprise Chief Quality Officers in Quality Reform and Innovation; Innovation and Practice of Digital Quality Management; Development and Outlook on Education of Quality.
